Capturing the images that portray the emotions; the feel and the flow of your wedding day is more than a several hour job. It is a planned and choreographed series of steps culminating in images that you will be proud of for a lifetime.

And, though it's a job that we take very seriously, at the same time, we enjoy this craft. Photography is a passion to us, as well as a livelihood.

--- The Process ---

One Year Before Your Wedding

• After you make the decision to trust Payne Family Photography to do this important job for you, we will provide you with a service contract and accept your deposit. Then we can begin to plan.

Three Months Before Your Wedding

• About 3 months before the wedding, we will sit down with you to discuss your expectations and desires. When do we begin? Where are the ceremony and reception taking place? Do you want formal portraits? Do you want to do a photo session separate from the wedding day? Do you want black & white or color or both? Do you want us to be the director of the event, or do you want us to take our instruction from someone else? These, and many other questions, will help to set the stage for your photos.

A Week Before Your Wedding

• We will touch base with you to make sure all is prepared and to see if any major changes have been made in the program. Usually there are some changes which is fine; we expect it.

The Day Before Your Wedding

• If at all possible, we make it a point to attend the rehearsal to get the feel of the facility, and to fine tune our plans for the next day. Meeting the person performing the service will ease any concerns that they might have. We do not use flash photography without permission during the ceremony and we do our best to get all of the pictures without ever getting in the way of the important part, your wedding ceremony.

• If you want a particular pose, a special place, or most anything photographic, please don't be shy.

Your Wedding Day

• The day of the wedding we will arrive at the church or park, or wherever the ceremony is to be held, to record the bride's preparation. Again, our aim is to get all of the pictures without intruding.
• The rest of the day, we will be wherever the bride and groom are. The portrait session between the ceremony and the reception will be scheduled in advance. Please plan on about 45 minutes for these pictures.
• At the reception, all of the traditional photos will be taken, plus a large number of candid images. After the cake is cut, and the bouquet and garter have been tossed, and the party is winding down, we bid our farewell and the work begins.

After the Wedding

Most people don't consider that, a week after the ceremony, the photographer is still on the job!

• When we return to the studio after the wedding, the pictures are IMMEDIATELY saved on CD and on the studio server. We then spend the next few days sorting, culling, touching up, and otherwise making your images the best they can be. They are then uploaded to our off site server.
• Payne Family Photographers Inc. has entered into an agreement with ImageQuix, to present and display your pictures soon after your wedding day, usually within 10 days. Once they are there, we verify that the images are correct and beautiful, and then we release the event to you and your guests.
• To access your images, all you have to do is go to our web site and click on the "View your Images On-line" icon on the home page. Select your event, enter your password and enjoy.
• This whole process has a number of advantages, the most important being that you won't have to continually keep track of loose pictures, reprint orders, find out that uncle Charlie lost a half dozen pictures when you mailed them to him on the west coast, etc. All of the photos are on-line, and reprints can be ordered directly from our studio without having to bother you, the couple, who have more important things on your mind anyway.
• You will also get a bound proof magazine, consisting of a minimum of the best 100 photos, frequently many more.
